UCLA's Flying Samaritans, Helping People in Need in Mexico
May 15, 2018
Sarah Brown has been a leader in Flying Samaritans, a non-profit organization that provides free medical care for underserved communities in Mexico, during her four years at UCLA. Sarah works with a team of passionate students to manage and implement clinic resources, as well as with exceptional licensed healthcare providers who carry out patient examination and treatment once the team is on-site. Over the last two years, Flying Samaritans at UCLA has experienced unprecedented growth and will soon transition to a nearby site in Rancho Escondido at which the organization will be able to offer more medical services and improved patient privacy.
She is coming to speak to us before she heads to Vanderbilt University School of Medicine in July.
