Join us for our monthly community service! This project was initiated by Rotary Club of Little Tokyo along with our friends back in April 2015 and members meet on the last Sunday of each month to explore what we can do to turn this once deserted public space to friendly community space. Please bring your heavy-duty gloves and whatever tools you have!
Frances Kazuko Hashimoto (August 26, 1943 – November 4, 2012) was a Japanese-American businesswoman and community activist. Hashimoto was a key figure and proponent of Los Angeles' Little Tokyo neighborhood.[1][2] The head of Mikawaya since 1970, Hashimoto, the inventor of mochi ice cream, also introduced the dessert to American consumers.[2][3][4] |

UCLA's Flying Samaritans, Helping People in Need in Mexico
May 15, 2018
Sarah Brown has been a leader in Flying Samaritans, a non-profit organization that provides free medical care for underserved communities in Mexico, during her four years at UCLA. Sarah works with a team of passionate students to manage and implement clinic resources, as well as with exceptional licensed healthcare providers who carry out patient examination and treatment once the team is on-site. Over the last two years, Flying Samaritans at UCLA has experienced unprecedented growth and will soon transition to a nearby site in Rancho Escondido at which the organization will be able to offer more medical services and improved patient privacy.
She is coming to speak to us before she heads to Vanderbilt University School of Medicine in July.

Dear Rotarians, former members, Future members and Friends, (Bring friends, significant others, etc!) Dear RCLT Rotarians,
And Our Dearest Friends,
Alan Kumamoto's Promotion luncheon
on Tuesday, June 5th from 11:30 AM to 13:30 PM
At Tamon
Restaurant in the Miyako Hotel (Little Tokyo) Second Floor
They have a superb all-you-can-eat buffet both East and West cuisines including Sushi, Tempura and Steak.
Unfortunately, we do not have a president to celebrate "demotion" this time, but because of Alan's volunteerism and courage to push it through our irregular Year 2017-2018, we are finally approaching the new Rotary year 2018-2019.
Please join us in celebrating our incoming president, Alan Kumamoto's Promotion!
Our RCLT members have already paid for this luncheon, so just bring your "Happy Bucks!"
For non RCLT members, or used-to-be members, this buffet is $38 per person. (You can ask for Senior Discount if you qualify!)
We are not planning to have any special ceremony rather that usual Rotary "rituals", but just to have a good time and give a friendly pad on Alan's shoulder and "pledge your support!"
Please kindly let us know of your attendance or non attendance!
